Rigorous training that builds
skills and delivers quality workers.
Whether one's goal is to work on bridge construction or nuclear power plants, LIUNA Training has developed the courses and specific training needed to achieve it, from the basics right through supervisory training.
Through our training centers, we offer more than 50 different training programs in construction, environmental and residential industry specialties and in worker safety and supervisory skills. Courses such as Basic Emergency Response Awareness or Underground Storage Tank Removal give workers the skills that will put them in demand today. Approximately 200 course modules provide comprehensive coverage of the construction craft laborer trade – take a look through our course catalog.
Our training is fully customizable because we present specific topics or job tasks in program modules, allowing training centers to tailor courses to meet local industry and worker needs. As independent units, a single module or an entire program can be taught at a time and modules can be combined across various craft areas. Each program addresses the knowledge, skills and aptitudes required to perform related job tasks so students feel confident and ready on day one of their new job.
The basic components of LIUNA Training curriculum include: participant and instructor guides, PowerPoint presentations, written exams, and practical assessments. Curricula are developed using accepted industry and adult education standards. For active learning, lessons are student-centered, activity-based, and where appropriate, include hands-on training. More importantly, all our curricula meet rigorous IAS accreditation criteria.

More than 70 training centers offer our worker training throughout the United States and Canada. With this extensive network, LIUNA Training programs offer the variety and flexibility required to meet local market needs yet assure quality standards across programs.
