Our construction trade training focuses on the skills needed for a career as a construction craft laborer. These courses concentrate on heavy and highway and light building construction techniques and offer a range of specialty skills for workers seeking to expand their employment opportunities. Many courses are approved for college credit and several offer industry certifications.

When a worker steps into a LIUNA training center class, he or she can expect to actively participate in learning. Student-centered lessons use a variety of interactive techniques such as brainstorming, problem solving, group presentations and role playing. Hands-on training allows participants to observe work processes, learn by performing job tasks in safe, structured work conditions, and demonstrate proficiency through skills assessments.
