Mission-critical skills training
for complex equipment and job sites.

Today's ever-evolving construction worksite presents many challenges and requires specialized laborer knowledge and skills to ensure worker safety and lasting end results. Employers know they can rely on a LIUNA trained worker to bring the desired skills sets to the jobsite because our credentialed instructors use LIUNA Training Curricula to teach construction trade information, skills and safety to apprentices and journey workers.

Our construction trade training focuses on the skills needed for a career as a construction craft laborer. These courses concentrate on heavy and highway and light building construction techniques and offer a range of specialty skills for workers seeking to expand their employment opportunities. Many courses are approved for college credit and several offer industry certifications.

When a worker steps into a LIUNA training center class, he or she can expect to actively participate in learning. Student-centered lessons use a variety of interactive techniques such as brainstorming, problem solving, group presentations and role playing. Hands-on training allows participants to observe work processes, learn by performing job tasks in safe, structured work conditions, and demonstrate proficiency through skills assessments. Our training reinforces learning by doing and makes learning a personal adventure.
