We continually assess and improve.
Once we've developed, tested and launched our programs, it's time to evaluate their effectiveness and quality in a continuous loop of feedback and improvement. For an organization as complex as LIUNA Training, evaluation takes many forms; all assure users that LIUNA Training works hard to provide safe, equitable, effective and relevant training programs
Internal Evaluation
We conduct comprehensive internal audits at least twice a year for every in-house function to ensure our programs and services are running properly. In addition, we are subject to periodic external reviews by government agencies such as OSHA and NIEHS and by program evaluators such as IAS and ACE.
Product Evaluation
We consistently ask for feedback on all curricula to give us a sense of program quality and effectiveness. New course materials undergo review by internal staff and Technical Advisory Committees before they are released for classroom use. Additionally:
- we ask for feedback from students and instructors at the completion of every course;
- we conduct annual needs assessments annually to gather feedback from our training centers,
- we require subject matter reviews for all curricula updates,
- we ask for validation of exam and performance assessments by an external professional test development organization.
Monitoring and Assessment
At the request of the training director or as required under grant programs, we monitor and assess training center safety compliance, course and program presentation, participant accomplishments, and instructor performance. For each assessment, the monitor uses carefully developed criteria and evaluation methods, based on professional standards and/or program guidelines.
