Get college credit for LIUNA Training.

LIUNA Training courses can take construction craft workers even further on their career path because they can apply for college credits for our courses.

The American Council on Education (ACE) reviewed 13 different courses and recommends college credit eligibility for each. ACE's recommendations are accepted by most colleges, and our graduates can confidently apply for college credits toward majors related to construction technology or management and environmental technology.

Approved courses include:

  • Asbestos Abatement Worker (2 semester hours)
  • Concrete Technology I (3 semester hours)
  • General Construction I (2 semester hours)
  • General Construction II (3 semester hours)
  • Hazardous Waste Operations (3 semester hours)
  • 80-Hour Hazardous Waste Worker (3 semester hours plus 1 laboratory credit)
  • Lead Abatement Worker (2 semester hours)
  • Mason Tending Technology I (1 semester hour)
  • Mason Tending II (2 semester hours)
  • Piping Technology I (3 semester hours)
  • Radiological Worker II (1 semester hour)
  • Scaffold Builder Technology I (2 semester hours)
  • Scaffold Builder Technology II (1 semester hour)

In addition, a number of training centers have matriculation agreements with area community colleges to grant college credit to those who have completed their Construction Craft Laborer Apprenticeship Program. Check with your training center to see if they have an agreement in place.
