LIUNA Training & Education Fund develops the highest quality, most comprehensive and up-to-date training curricula available in our industry. We teach instructors to use the most effective adult education techniques, making workforce training an interactive learning experience.
We:
- produce competency-based curriculum and training materials, currently a catalog of more than 50 programs
- provide 200 trade skills modules for customized training
- train and credential instructors for more than 70
training centers - develop industry skills standards
- identify and develop resources for training
- educate policy makers, industry contractors and the public
- secure grant funding to support key worker training and employment initiatives
